Actress Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen have often made headlines for their tumultuous marriage. The two finally obtained a divorce on June 8 after nearly five years of marriage. Now, in a new vlog, Charu Asopa has shared her thoughts about the divorce and also gave fans a glimpse into her state of mind as she drove to the court for the divorce proceedings. In the vlog, Charu Asopa says, “Today is the big day. It is the 8th (of June) and I have left for the court. Ziana [Charu and Rajeev's daughter] is at home, sleeping…Thodi anxiety hai but I guess sabko hi hoti hogi anxiety." [I am slightly anxious but I guess everyone feels that way ]. I know I am doing the right thing…”
Following this, she added a text slide to the vlog that said, “And the divorce through...Rajeev will always be Ziana's father. He can meet Ziana whenever he wants to.”
Following the divorce, Rajeev Sen shared a throwback picture of himself and ex-wife Charu with a warm note. In the Instagram Stories post, he said, “There are no goodbyes! Just two people who just couldn't hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remain Mom and Dad to our daughter.” Take a look at the post here.
Despite the separation, the couple continues to remain cordial. Charu was also seen at a Sen family gathering recently. For the unversed, Rajeev Sen is the brother of Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. On the occasion of Charu Asopa's birthday, Rajeev Sen shared an image of the family and said, “Happy Birthday Charu. Wishing u lots of love with good health & happiness always.”
Following rumors of separation last year, Charu Asopa confirmed that all was not well in a vlog. She said, “I know people have a lot of questions about me, have doubts about me. Many are thinking I am wrong but I want to say that I am taking this decision after thinking about it for a long time. Mein kisi jaldbaazi mein ya emotional hoke yeh decision nahi le rahi hun apne poore hosh o awaz mein yeh faisla le rahi hun (I am not deciding in a hurry or emotionally. I am taking it consciously). It is not for me; it is for Ziana." While the couple had once called off their divorce, they confirmed the separation earlier this year.
