Producer Abhishek Agarwal, who recently tasted glorious success with 'The Kashmir Files' and 'Karthikeya 2', has adopted a village named Thimmapur in Kandukur Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana. An event named the third Sarthak Diwas of the Chandrakala Foundation was today held to mark the adoption. Several school-going children were present, besides dignitaries as guests.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Anupam Kher lauded Agarwal's charity activities and said that it is commendable that he adopted the village on the occasion of his father's birthday. The Bollywood artist also wished everyone all the best.

PV Sindhu said that it's not a small thing that a village has been adopted. "Agarwal has resolved to provide all basic amenities to the people of the village. The children in the village are getting a quality education," she added.

Producer and actress Pallavi Joshi said that she is happy to be with school children who attended the event. She praised the charity activities undertaken by Agarwal and Tej Narayan Agarwal.

Vivek Agnihotri, the Bollywood director, observed that villages are the backbone of Indian culture. "They are the root of our civilization. I appreciate Agarwal for undertaking this great task," he said.
