'Family Star' Trailer creates curiosity about its conflict point

Ahead of the theatrical release of 'Family Star' on April 5, its trailer was released today by Sri Venkateswara Creations. Director Parasuram Petla makes sure that the central conflict point hasn't been revealed. You can make a few broad guesses though.

Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur have a blow hot, blow cold relationship as a married couple in the film. Their tempestuous issues don't seem fluffy the way the marital discord seemed in last year's 'Kushi'. The 'Geetha Govindam' director has a way of making his flawed male protagonists look likeable. One hopes 'Family Star' is another such film and is way better than the simplistic 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'.

In a recent interview, cinematographer KU Mohanan said that the film highlights the neglected values that sustain the family system.

Speaking at the trailer launch event today, producer Dil Raju said that 'Family Star' has the right ingredients going for it - action, emotions, and romance. "This is a perfect package this Summer," he added. Parasuram said that every Telugu family is going to remember VD and Mrunal Thakur after watching the movie.

With music by Gopi Sundar, the film also features Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Vasuki and others.
