'Hi Nanna' Trailer: An emotional father-daughter journey

'Hi Nanna', directed by Souryuv, explores a father-daughter relationship through the eyes of a woman. The film, which will hit the cinemas on December 7, has Viraj (Nani) and Yashna (Mrunal Thakur) bonding over a story narrated to Tara (Baby Kiara), the former's biological daughter. Viraj, a single parent, has been going through a painful, lonesome phase ostensibly for no sin of his.

Hesham Abdul Wahab's background score delivers a feel-good feel, while Vyra Entertainments' production values are top-notch. Avinash Kolla's production design, Sanu John Varghese's cinematography and Praveen Antony's editing are nice.

At the trailer launch event of 'Hi Nanna' on Friday, the Natural Star described cinema as his breath. Greeting the cheering crowds inside a multiplex theatre in Hyderabad, the actor said that it felt like a fun-filled party rather than a film event. "This is the first time that I like how I look on screen. Each one of you is going to fall in love with the film. Cinema is like oxygen to me. This December 7th, this film is going to make you all fall in love with our film. Hi Nanna's box-office success rests on your shoulders," the 'Dasara' actor said.

Nani iterated that the emotional beats of 'Hi Nanna' and 'Jersey' are quite different. "I thank the audience for always proving skeptics wrong. Many times, it was presumed that the audience wouldn't accept some films. Their predictions failed," the 'Shyam Singha Roy' actor said. "This is the kind of film I have been waiting for long to watch on screen. When it came my way, I did it because I saw myself as an audience member," Nani said.

The 'Ante Sundaraniki' actor revealed something interesting about his son. "He recently told me I am his favourite actor. That means a lot to me," Nani said.

Producers Mohan Cherukuri and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala are planning to release the movie in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
