You won't believe it, but Nani's 'V' was a hit: Director

Director Mohankrishna Indraganti awaits the theatrical release of 'Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali' on September 16. In his latest interview, the 'Ashta Chamma' maker said that his previous release, 'V', was a hit.

'V', starring Nani and Sudheer Babu, was panned by film critics. The audience too reacted negatively on social media. Had it been a theatrical release, it would have been a crushing flop.

As per Indraganti, 'V' was a hit on Amazon Prime Video, its direct OTT streamer. "OTT is a different game. The streaming giant didn't release the numbers although we requested them. They told us it is against their policy. If us makers claim that the film was a hit on Prime, nobody would believe it," Indraganti said in his latest interview.

Nani, too, previously claimed that 'V' was a hit. That's why 'Tuck Jagadish' was brought by Prime.
