Fans of Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur have reason to rejoice. The actors will be coming together for the first time for a Telugu film by director Parasuram Petla. Much to the delight of their fans, both stars have shared visuals from the film's launch puja. While Mrunal Thakur is glowing in a lavender Indian ensemble, Vijay Deverakonda looks dapper in a green kurta. Sharing glimpses of the event, Mrunal Thakur shared her announcement and said, “The first step in a very exciting journey...It's my 1st time working with Sri Venkateswara Creations and I'm really thrilled to be sharing the screen with Vijay Deverakonda. Can't wait for the shoot to begin.”
Mrunal Thakur also tagged director Parasuram Petla and other cast and crew members in the caption. The film is being produced by Dil Raju.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda also shared a video of the puja. In it, the team is seen engaged in the rituals and interacting with one another. In the caption, he wrote, “Pooja. Parasuram - Dil Raju - Mrunal Thakur & your man,” and added the hashtag #VD13, given that this will be his 13th project.
The film's launch was held on Wednesday in Hyderabad. Film producer Shyam Prasad Reddy was present at the launch. The film will have Vasu Varma as the creative producer, K.U. Mohanan as cinematographer, Gopi Sunder as music director with art direction being handled by A.S. Prakash.
Meanwhile, this will be Mrunal Thakur's third Telugu project after the superhit Sita Ramam and the upcoming Nani 30. She was last seen in the murder mystery Gumraah featuring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Ronit Roy.
Vijay Deverakonda is awaiting the release of his film Khushi. The romantic drama features him alongside Samantha Ruth Prabu and is directed by Shiva Nirvana. He will also be seen in a film by Gowtam Tinnanuri. He was last seen in Liger with Ananya Panday and Ramya Krishnan.
