After serving a cooling period of six months, Sushmita Sen's brother Rajeev Sen and television actress Charu Asopa finalized their divorce today, post a hearing in the court. The news was further confirmed by Rajeev Sen who shared a throwback picture of himself and ex-wife Charu alongside a heartwarming note. Rajeev Sen's note read, “There are no goodbyes! Just two people who just couldn't hold on to each other. Love will stay. We will always remain Mom and Dad to our daughter.”

For the unversed, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen got married in the year 2019 after dating for a while. A year into their marriage and rumours about their separation started doing the rounds. They briefly reunited in 2021 and welcomed their daughter Ziana into their lives. However, things soon took turn for the worse and the duo decided to file for a divorce.
In 2022, Charu Asopa opened up about her decision to end the marriage in a blog entry. She said, "I know people have a lot of questions about me, have doubts about me. Many are thinking I am wrong but I want to say that I am taking this decision after thinking about it for a long time. Mein kisi jaldbaazi mein ya emotional hoke yeh decision nahi le rahi hun apne poore hosh o awaz mein yeh faisla le rahi hun (I am not deciding in a hurry or emotionally. I am taking it consciously). It is not for me, it is for Ziana."
However, Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen continue to make appearances on each other's Instagram timelines. On Charu's 35th birthday this year, Rajeev Sen posted a picture with her and his daughter Ziana. Sharing the picture, he wrote, "Happy Birthday Charu. Wishing you lots of love with good health and happiness always."
