Naga Chaitanya says NC23 Expedition in Srikakulam was a 'great start'

Naga Chaitanya's 23rd film is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vas. The trio was recently in Srikakulam's K Matcheleasam village where the fishermen's community is dominant. Visuals of the 'Laal Singh Chaddha' actor getting mobbed by community members were all over social media recently.

Today, the 'Custody' actor revealed why he and his director-producer duo had to be there. The purpose was to hear out the experiences of the fishermen and to understand their land. "It was a great start to building my character," the Akkineni hero added.

Chandoo, who has previously directed 'Kartikeya 2' and 'Kartikeya' (with Nikhil Siddhartha) and 'Premam' and 'Savyasachi' (with Chay), said that they observed every minute detail during the visit.

Speculation is that NC23 will feature fishermen's travails after some individuals are nabbed by Pakistan and arrested for trespassing into their waters. Some of the situations in the film happened for real.
