'Shakapurushudu NTR': Vijayendra Prasad hails NTR at event

The NTR Centenary Committee organized an event on Sunday in memory of thespian and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, the late NT Rama Rao. On the occasion, a special issue of Shakapurashudu was released. NTR's Legislative Assembly speeches and his historic public speeches are compiled by the book. 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' writer KV Vijayendra Prasad graced the event as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha member and star writer Prasad described NTR as a great actor and a leader who brought self-respect to the Telugus. "He will always be an inspiration to the Telugu world," he added, suggesting that the latest book is a must-read for the younger generation.

Lok Satta President Jayaprakash Narayana said that NTR did remarkable work for the upliftment of the poor and described the TDP founder as a rare personality in the world. "NTR is credited with uniting the opposition parties and he would never sleep until he realized what he wanted to achieve," JP added.

Dr. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna said, "I feel fortunate to have worked with Annayya, someone I regard as equal to God. 'Shakapurushudu' is the greatest among the three books published by the centenary committee. When NTR garu was the Chief Minister, I was inspired by his works and donated one lakh rupees towards a cause. NTR garu was a truly divine person."

Committee Chairman TD Janardhan said that the committee was formed with the determination to do something crucial as a tribute to NTR's legacy.

Nandamuri Ramakrishna said that he felt sad when his father didn't attend his marriage. Neither could he attend Balakrishna's wedding. "My father was too busy with public and political activities. I felt happy about his dedication and felt proud to be his son after knowing the reason for his absence at our weddings," Ramakrishna said.
