'MAD', produced by Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas, opened to excellent premieres on Thursday (October 5). On Day 1 of its release on Friday, the campus comedy held on to its market, expanding its reach show after show.

Speaking at the film's success meet today in Hyderabad, actor Sangeeth Shobhan said that it is truly gratifying to hear people talk so positively about the Kalyan Shankar directorial. The debutant director, whose film is one of the few college campus movies in the past decade, said that MAD's success has resonated with the audience on a deep level. "The response in both multiplexes and single screens has been pulsating," he added.

Producer S Naga Vamsi had promised to refund ticket amounts if 'MAD' fails to satisfy the fun-loving audience. He is happy that the promise has proven to be irrelevant now that 'MAD' is keeping the cash registers ringing. "In Vizag, Kakinada, and Bhimavaram, the numbers we are getting are highly encouraging," the producer said, adding that the aggressive promotions for more than a week before the film's release have borne fruit.

The meet was also attended by Narne Nithin, Ram Nithin, Gopika and Sri Gouri Priya Reddy, the other lead actors of the entertainer.
