'Bichagadu 2', described as a concept-based action thriller, is slated to be released in theatres on May 19. The Telugu version is presented by the distribution house Usha Pictures, which is debuting with the Summer release in the Telugu States.

A press meet held in Hyderabad was attended by veteran filmmaker R Narayana Murthy as the chief guest. He described 'Bichagadu 2' as a film high on sentiment and hoped that a wide section of the audience will be able to relate to its emotional beats.

Kavya Thapar of 'Ek Mini Katha' fame said that the film is rich in twists and thrilling plot turns. She thanked her director for helping her ace the nuances of her character.

Vijay Antony iterated the fact that the film has been mounted on a bigger scale compared to the first part. The actor recalled how he had a close shave with death while shooting for the movie. He was saved by Kavya Thapar and other crew members when a jet ski ride went haywire.

There is a sense of hype around the film because it is a bona fide sequel and not a thematic sequel. The film, to be released as 'Pichaikkaran 2' in Tamil, is expected to open well at the box office.

Starring Dev Gill, Harish Peradi, John Vijay, Radha Ravi, Mansoor Ali Khan, YG Mahendran, and Raja Krishnamoorthy, the film is produced by Fatima Vijay Antony.
