Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone made the nation proud with her charming and elegant appearance at the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday night (Monday morning IST). The actress attended the prestigious awards ceremony in the capacity of a presenter. Deepika was accompanied by her sister Anisha Padukone to Los Angeles and now, Anisha has shared a lovely post celebrating India's stellar performance at Oscars 2023 as well as Deepika's appearance. Sharing an image in which Anisha – dressed in a beautiful black gown – is posing next to a large Oscar statuette, she said, “Such an overwhelming experience to be a part of something so magical. That too this year! So proud of everyone representing India and massive congratulations to all the winners.” She also added the hashtags RRR and The Elephant Whisperer, referring to the winners from India. RRR's Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song award, while The Elephant Whisperers won an Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Subject category. Replying to the post, singer Harshdeep Kaur said, “Beautiful,” with a heart emoji. Actor Danish Sait said, “Very nice,” with a row of heart emojis.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone became the third Indian to attend the Academy Awards in the capacity of a presenter after Persis Khambatta and Priyanka Chopra. At the ceremony, Deepika introduced the Naatu Naatu performance by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
Needless to say, Deepika Padukone caused a stir around the globe with her stunning appearance at the Oscars, wearing a custom-made black Louis Vuitton gown and Cartier jewellery. Her fans and colleagues in Bollywood could not help but shower her with compliments. Alia Bhatt posted a photo of Deepika from the red carpet, exclaiming "This beauty is making India proud!" with heart emojis. Alia also commented on another post by Deepika, calling her a "stunner," while Neha Dhupia expressed her admiration with a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone's trainer Yasmin Karachiwala also shared a video of the actress working out hours before her Oscar appearance. In her caption, she said: “Oscars ke pehle workout toh banta hain na? Sharing a glimpse into Deepika Padukone's 6:30 am workout in LA before getting ready for the Oscars. The secret to her gorgeousness besides her genes is also her discipline, dedication and commitment to maintain a balanced lifestyle. Don't you agree? It was an amazing journey training her for the #Oscars.”
