Ever since Zeenat Aman joined Instagram early this year, the photo-sharing app has not quite been the same. The yesteryear superstar has been receiving praise from all quarters for her poignant posts on social media and has come to be recognised as one of the most important celebrity voices in the Indian context. So, when content creator and actress Kusha Kapila ran into Zeenat Aman at a fashion event in Delhi, she was beyond excited. Sharing images of herself with the icon at the launch of designer Amit Aggarwal's new store in Delhi, Kusha Kapila wrote, “I consider this moment a life highlight. To be able to experience an icon like Zeenat Aman in person is the kind of stuff you tell stories about for years after. Words poured out of me when I met her so for the first time my extroversion wasn't cringe to me, especially since she heard me patiently as I tried to sound as eloquent as her Instagram captions.”
Speaking about the impact of Zeenat Aman, Kusha added: “I know how her presence on the gram makes women feel and I said exactly that to her, in many versions, embellishing it with all the feelings and words I could messily gather in our 7–8-minute interaction. She gave me a compliment that I will lock in a safe place and keep going back to on an off day. Wow, can you believe I met The Zeenat Aman?”

Meanwhile, Zeenat Aman also shared a glimpse of herself at the event and after it. Sharing the pictures, she said, “My Friday night explained in two pictures by Zahaan Khan,” referring to her son. While in the first image, she is dressed in a stunning black ensemble by Amit Aggarwal, in the second she is seen munching on a burger while dressed in a bathrobe.
Replying to the post, the designer said: “You are an ethereal vision to behold Zeenat Ji. Thank you for gracing us with your presence on our special day, you made it brighter with the light you shine. Eternally grateful.”

Before that, Zeenat Aman shared a post about herself and what is quintessentially Indian about her. Sharing a throwback image of herself dressed in a blue kurta with a large bindi and sindoor, the star said, “Clothes are not all that maketh the woman! You may associate me with ‘Western glam' but I'm as desi as they come. And nothing speaks to this as much as my diet. It doesn't matter where I am travelling in the world, within two days I begin to crave home food and go in search of an Indian restaurant.”
