Just a few days before the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Karan Johar hosted a grand screening of the film for his industry friends in Mumbai on Tuesday night. Obviously the film's lead actors Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh were at the screening. Alia's date for the night was husband Ranbir Kapoor. Her mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor and sister-in-law Karisma Kapoor cheered for her at the screening. We also got a glimpse of inside pictures from the film's screening courtesy Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives stars Maheep Kapoor and Neelam Kothari, both are self-confessed Ranveer Singh fans. Posting a picture with Rocky aka Ranveer, Maheep Kapoor wrote, "Rocky Aur Maheep." Meanwhile, Neelam's caption on the post read, "Rocky aur Neelam #rockyaurranikipremkahani."

Karisma Kapoor shared a picture with Ranveer Singh and her cousin Ranbir Kapoor from the screening and she wrote, "My heartline and My bloodline Rocky and Ranbir #rockyandranikipremkahani #movietime."

The film, directed by Karan Johar, features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in titular roles and Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Tota Roy Choudhury, Namit Das, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, Kshitee Jog and Anjali Anand in supporting roles.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, directed by Karan Johar and also produced by him, is slated to release in theatres on July 28. After Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, this movie marks the second collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. It also marks the return of Karan Johar as a director after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).
