Can Keeravani's son overtake Vijay Deverakonda's brother?

This week, Sri Simha Koduri tests his luck at the box office. The 'Mathu Vadalara' actor is MM Keeravani's younger son. His elder brother, Kaala Bhairava, has been on a roll as a music director, with 'Karthikeya 2' becoming a crown jewel in his discography.

While Bhairava is going strong, Simha needs a huge fillip in his career. 'Dongalunnaru Jagratha' is coming out in theatres on September 23. After a disaster like 'Thellavarithe Guruvaram' in 2021, Simha needs a box office hit.

At this juncture, Simha and Anand Deverakonda can be seen to be in a similar league. Both have got one unexpected hit in their kitty. Anand has got 'Middle Class Melodies', while Simha cherishes the success of his debut 'Mathu Vadalara'. Simha and Anand are also replaceable by each other if you notice their demeanour and calibre. They both do comedy by downplaying it. They both play realistic roles. They both have almost similar dialogue delivery styles.

If 'DJ' becomes a hit this week, Simha can hope to overtake Anand in terms of perception. The Deverakonda brother has scored two theatrical flops: 'Dorasani' and 'Pushpaka Vimanam'. It is the right time for Simha to overtake his closest competitor by delivering a solid content-oriented hit film.
