Mounika Reddy, who was seen in the role of a constable in Pawan Kalyan's 'Bheemla Nayak', will be doing a female-centric movie. The untitled project was launched today in the presence of debutant director Rakesh Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Mounika said that the movie is very special to her. "I am very happy to act in a lady-oriented film where the entire story is driven by me as a protagonist. I liked the way the director narrated the story. My character has been designed in a unique way," she said.

Filmmaker Rakesh Reddy said that the untitled film is a period mythological. "The gist of the story is about how a woman bravely fights for her kingdom. Mounika Reddy gave the nod as soon as she listened to the story," he said.

Executive producer Bhaskar Reddy said, "The entire team is very supportive. Cinematographer Arun Koluguri is famous in the folk music segment. He has worked on more than 150 folk songs. We feel lucky to have such a talented cinematographer on board. The shooting will start today and the schedule will be a non-stop one."
