EXCLUSIVE: Jackie Shroff to play Aditya Roy Kapur’s father in OM: The Battle Within
Jackie Shroff is expected to wrap up his portions for the film by March. OM: The Battle Within will release in Summer 2021.
Aditya Roy Kapur unveiled his first look from OM: The Battle Within in December. His rough and tough look on the poster had been well appreciated and fans since then have been waiting to see the actor back on the big screen again. Besides Kapur, this upcoming action-drama also features Sanjana Sanghi in the lead role. Now, Pinkvilla has learnt of an interesting addition to this cast. A source close to the development informs that Jackie Shroff has joined the team of OM: The Battle Within.
“Jackie Shroff plays Aditya Roy Kapur’s father in the film and has major scenes with his onscreen son. He began shooting for the movie last month and is expected to wrap up by March. His equation with Aditya in the film is one to look forward to,” adds the informer. This is the first time that Aditya Roy Kapur and Jackie Shroff will be sharing the screen space. OM: The Battle Within will hit the theatres in Summer this year.
Interestingly, Shroff’s last big screen outing was Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 3 in which he had played Tiger Shroff’s father, and he will now play dad to Kapur in Om which is being produced by Khan. 
Last year, Aditya was seen in 3 films including Malang, Sadak 2 and Ludo; however, as of now, he has only one release in 2021. However, besides OM: The Battle Within, Jackie Shroff will also be seen in Sooryavanshi this year alongside Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
