Bigg Boss Telugu 5 fame Sarayu Roy has been a victim of fake news. It has been reported by several sections of electronic and print media that she has been arrested by the Banjara Hills police in connection with a complaint lodged by a Vishwa Hindu Parishad functionary.
Speaking to Times Of India, Sarayu today made it clear that she hasn't been arrested. The police merely issued summons and she went to the police station to know about the allegations made by the complainant.
Sarayu is back home after learning about the complainant's beef with a video she made last year. In the video that has offended the VHP leader, Sarayu is seen in a drunken state and singing 'Ganapati Bappa Moriya'.
Sarayu shot to fame with her bold YouTube videos a few years ago. Last year, Bigg Boss Telugu didn't engage her much, as she got evicted from the house before people could register her presence.
