The upcoming episode of Bigg Boss 16will be brimming with activity thanks to the captaincy task. Shalin Bhanot, Sumbul Touqeer, Priyanka Choudhary and Ankit Gupta will be fighting to replace Nimrit as captain. An unlikely collaboration has also cropped up with Shalin and Priyanka joining hands to support Ankit Gupta and kick Sumbul Touqeer out of the captaincy race. In a new promo, Shalin and Priyanka are seen shaking hands on their deal to help Ankit Gupta win. Sensing that they are teaming up against her, Sumbul says, “Individual bol ke group mei khel rahe ho (You claim to be playing as individuals but come in groups).” To this, Priyanka points out that this was exactly what the other group has done so far.
Sumbul Touqeer then gets angry and tries her best to win the task. Nimrit Kaur is seen cheering for Sumbul in the promo clip.

The task comes just days after captain Nimrit Kaur and Shalin Bhanot got into a fight. During a task, an irritated Nimrit asks Shalin what his issue is. He says that he has mental issues. Nimrit, who has been vocal about her mental health in the past, feels that this is a dig at her. This leads to a bigger argument with Nimrit breaking down and screaming at Shalin, who claims he was not targeting her.
Earlier, Shalin Bhanot and Sumbul Touqeer were engaged in a war of words after Sumbul's father made some unsavoury remarks about Shalin and Tina Datta. An angry Shalin was seen telling Sumbul: “Dur raho! Dimag kharab hai kya? [Stay away. Are you out of your mind]”
The last two weeks did not witness any elimination in the Bigg Boss house. You can watch Bigg Boss 16 on Colors TV from Monday to Friday at 10 PM. On weekends, the episodes begin at 9.30 PM. The show is also available on Voot Select with a 24X7 stream.
