The subject of Akshay Kumar came up in an interview Raveena Tandon recently gave to ANI, as he does when her name is Googled even now, some 25 years after the former couple broke up. Raveena and Akshay, co-stars of films like Mohra, dated and were engaged for a while in the mid-late Nineties before breaking up. It's still a much-Googled topic, however, and Raveena said in the interview: "It comes up, and it comes up like there's a war between everyone whom he's involved with. Hello, once I had moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he was already dating someone else, so kahan se jealousy ayegi (why would anyone be jealous)?"
The Raveena-Akshay engagement is literally ancient history. Asked which year it was, she replied, "Forgotten about it."
Raveena Tandon married Anil Thadani in 2004 and they have a son and daughter; Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna also have a son and daughter – life has moved on for all involved. "We were a hit pair, during Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck to my head, I don't know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what's the big deal," Raveena told ANI.
