Telangana official delivers good news for 'Acharya', 'SVP', 'F3'

On Thursday, the Telangana Director of Dr. G Srinivasa Rao said that the state won't suffer another wave of the coronavirus pandemic. This sounds even better than what was said in January: 'The third wave won't be as bad as the second wave'.

During the third wave, Telangana didn't lock down theatres. There were restrictions in Andhra Pradesh on occupancy limits. Telangana's decision to operate cinema halls at full capacity is the only reason why the Sankranthi movie releases were possible.

The latest serological survey data shows that Telangana won't witness the fourth wave. Even when the caseload goes up, the operational capacity of cinema halls won't be curbed (going by the experience of the third wave). This is good news for the upcoming biggies: 'Acharya' (April 29), 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' (May 12) and 'F3' (May 27).

This is also pleasant news for small movies like 'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam', 'Jayamma Panchayathi', 'Maa Isham', 'Krishna Vrinda Vihari', etc. The first of these three movies will head to theatres on May 6.
