New Delhi:

Major throwback alert. Courtesy: our “Desi Girl” Priyanka Chopra. She has dropped an oh-so-adorable picture featuring herself and her father Dr Ashok Chopra. Here, we see a tiny version of Priyanka with a shaved head. Can't miss that expression though. It seems she is annoyed. Priyanka didn't waste much time thinking about the caption and just wrote, “Daddy's lil girl.” She has also added the hashtag - “just the two of us.” For those who don't know, Priyanka has a tattoo on her hand with the same text as the caption. Dr Ashok Chopra died on June 10 in 2013 after battling cancer.

Priyanka Chopra's special throwback post has received dozens of red hearts and fire emojis. Actress Hina Khan was among the first to drop a red heart under the picture.

No matter how busy she is, Priyanka Chopra always makes it a point to treat us to some golden memories of her childhood days. A while back, she pulled out a picture from her nani's birthday party. “All of 6, celebrating my Nani's (maternal grandmother) birthday. She helped raise me while my mom and dad balanced studying and medical careers. She was a hugely consistent part of my upbringing.

I feel so lucky that I had so many strong maternal figures in my life. I'm so grateful for you all. Miss you always Nani.” She ended her note with a fun twist, “PS- why do I look so diabolical in the first picture? Your thoughts?”

On her father, Dr Ashok Chopra, death anniversary, last year, Priyanka Chopra shared a snapshot from her memoir Unfinished and wrote, “It never gets easier… Love you, dad”. The excerpt on the picture read, “From my earliest years, my dad and I had an understanding: Whenever he was performing at the Army club, he would look me in the eye during the first song. On New Year's eve, I was 5, he forgot, so I started to leave in a huff. Dad jumped off the stage and pulled me onto it with him, coaxing me into a duet - a nursery rhyme - and winning my forgiveness.”

Priyanka Chopra has a busy line-up ahead. She will appear in Text For You, Citadel and Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
