Shah Rukh Khan is no less than a “man of magic.” At least, that's what everyone on the sets of Pathaan in “freezing” Spain thought when they were shooting for Besharam Rang. Why you, ask? Because the superstar arrived with a “beautiful ray of hope” when “everything was going against” the crew at that “windy, cold” location. In the latest behind-the-scenes video focused on the making of Besharam Rang, director Siddharth Anand and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant share their experiences of filming the “beach summer song” at different locales in Spain. The weather was anything but summery, but the moment Shah Rukh Khan walked in on the sets, “the Sun came in” and “everything just worked magically,” said Vaibhavi.

Siddharth Anand said, “We were shooting a beach summer song and when we got onto the set, it was freezing.” Vaibhavi Merchant narrated, “It was windy, it was thundering, it was cold. And we had all these dancers dressed in bikinis and shorts. Everything was going against us. (But) it doesn't end there.” She added, “And, there came Mr Shah Rukh Khan on the sets, and suddenly everything just changed. The Sun came in that day, when Shah Rukh walked in on the sets. We had a beautiful ray of hope. Everything just worked magically. He is a man of magic. When I saw him, my jaw dropped.” That's the “magic” of Shah Rukh Khan.

The shooting for Besharam Rang was like a “family vacation” for Shah Rukh Khan. His youngest son AbRam also makes an adorable appearance in the BTS clip. AbRam is seen having a fun time with Deepika Padukone. “We know Siddharth (Anand) chooses exotic locations. They were quite virgin locations for me also. I have never seen it. There was this place on the cliff, water was coming in and it was astounding to look at,” said Shah Rukh in the video. Then, he added, “All those locations were untouched and it was like a breath of fresh air. I had taken my kids; it was really wonderful. It was like a family holiday.”

The BTS clip on YouTube also shows Deepika Padukone nailing every step of Besharam Rang in swimwear like a pro, despite the cold weather.

Pathaan, also starring John Abraham in the lead role, has been breaking records at the box office. The movie, backed by Yash Raj Films, is the “highest-grossing Hindi film in the history of cinema.” It has collected over Rs 945 crore worldwide, stated the production house in a tweet on Monday.

At home, Pathaan has earned a total of Rs 489 crore in all versions, as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

Pathaan was released in theatres on January 25 this year.
