After dominating the last Koffee With Karan episode – albeit just as the primary subject of conversation – Vijay Deverakonda is making his debut on the celebrity talk show. And, with him on the famous couch is Ananya Panday, Vijay's Liger co-star. Now, if the teaser of the upcoming episode is anything to go by, the young stars sure did have a lot of fun as Karan Johar quizzed them on work, love life and everything in between. In the episode, Karan did address the elephant in the room by asking Vijay if he liked “cheese.” Just to refresh your memory, in the last episode Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan both confessed (well, almost) to having a crush on Vijay and went on to refer to him as “cheese” for the most part of the episode.
And, Karan Johar didn't miss the chance and asks Vijay Deverakonda, “Do you like cheese?” To this, the actor says half-smiling, “I am scared about where this is leading.”
The promo then cuts to the previous episode where Karan Johar asks Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, “Why are you passing Vijay Deverakonda like he's some kind of slice of cheese?” To this, Janhvi says, “He would love to be a slice.” While not in the promo, Sara had said, "We can't be after the same slice of cheese like you said and let me tell everyone that she is now giving it to me."
Upon watching the video, Ananya Panday joins in on the fun and adds, “Guys, hello can I say I would like to be on the same platter,” as Vijay and Karan break into laughter.
Sharing the promo, Karan Johar wrote, “Serious question - do you like cheese? Then you'll love Episode 4 of Koffee With Karan…”
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday will be seen together in Liger. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by the filmmaker alongside Charmme Kaur and Dharma Productions. Recently on the occasion of Karan Johar's birthday, the team posed for a picture together that was shared by Vijay on Instagram with a smile emoticon.
The team has also launched Liger's trailer in Hyderabad and Mumbai with much fanfare. Sharing a video from the trailer launch in Hyderabad, Ananya said, “Hyderabad. You have my whole heart overwhelmed and grateful for all the love and excitement you guys have showered on our trailer. We will be reunited to celebrate with you again very soooon.”
