New Delhi:

All of us are excited about the coming weekend. Why? Well, it's Mother's Day this Sunday. And, for all those who have been waiting to shower love on their mom, this day is simply perfect. The Hindi film industry, on its part, has given us ample moments to celebrate the mother-daughter relationship. From depicting the sweet bond shared by a mother and her daughter to dissecting the imperfectly perfect dimension of this relation, Bollywood movies have done all of it. This Mother's Day, let us take a look at some of the best on-screen moments shared between a mother and daughter. We are sure you will be able to relate to these on-screen mom-daughter duos. Take a look:

1. English Vinglish

This Sridevi movie brought to us the modern strains of a mother-daughter relationship. We simply loved it when, at the end of the movie, Sapna realised that she was wrong in being embarrassed by her mother's English speaking skills. We also got a glimpse of how far a mother can go to gain respect in the eyes of her daughter.

2. Masaba Masaba

Of course, we couldn't miss out on this series. The Netflix show features real-life mother-daughter duo, Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta and is all kinds of fun. We love the moments when Masaba gets to sit with her mom to discuss serious topics such as financial independence and boundaries in a relationship.

3. Secret Superstar

Insia and her mother's relationship is raw and beautiful. While Insia tries to forge ahead in her singing career, her mother, played by Meher Vij, saves her from the wrath and restrictions of her dad. Their bond is bound to make you smile.

4. Tribhanga

This movie delved into the complexities of a mother-daughter relationship. Kajol, Mithila Palkar and Tanvi Azmi aced their roles as women of three generations traversing through life.

5.  Badhaai Ho

Renee and her mother's transparent conversations were short but perfectly depicted on the silver screen. Their relationship was also one of the most beautiful aspects of this quirky movie.

We bet all of these scenes will make you smile on the special day, with your mother by your side.
