'Kirayi' is an upcoming action drama headlined by Thrigun, who awaits the theatrical release of RGV's 'Kondaa' on June 23. Written and directed by VRK, the film is produced by SAY Creations' Amulya Reddy Yalamuri and Naveen Reddy Vuyuuru.

Marking Thrigun's birthday today, its First Look was released. Speaking on the occasion, director Harish Shankar said that he has known Thrigun for many years. "He has played love and comedy roles so far. For the first time, he is playing an intense role," the 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' maker said.

The story of the film is set in the backdrop of Guntur's street killings. The director of the film learned about criminals who are hired to execute 'kirayi' murders from jails. Director VRK said, "There was a time when Guntur and Palnadu were notorious for frequent killings. In my film, the hero is forced to commit a murder without charing 'kirayi'. I am confident that Thrigun is going to get his big break with our movie. I thank my technicians who helped me make this heavy-duty action drama."

With music by Hari Gowra, the film has RR by Osho Venkat. Ramajogayya Sastry, Suddala Ashok Teja and Kasarla Shyam have penned the lyrics. Dialogues are by Bharath Kumar Pogula. With cinematography by Sujatha Siddharth and editing by Dharmendra Kakarla, the film is currently in the making.
