On Tuesday afternoon, a civil court in Hyderabad stalled the release of the Telugu version of 'Leo' until October 20. This came as an out-of-the-blue development. A Telugu producer had approached the court disputing the use of the title 'Leo', which he claimed had been registered with the Film Chamber of Commerce much before.

Hours later, the happening producer S Naga Vamsi, who is distributing the movie in the Telugu States, held a presser to announce that the issue had been sorted out in a friendly manner. "It was through the media that I got to know about the court order. The issue has since been settle amicably," the Sithara Entertainments supremo said. He added that the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer will hit the cinemas on October 19 as planned. Trade pundits say that the film will be a simultaneous pan-India release and is expected to gross more than Rs 100 Cr on Day 1 across languages.

Naga Vamsi reiterated that there would be no contention over theatres among the three major Dasara releases. 'Bhagavanth Kesari' and 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' will get the numbers they deserve.

'Leo' hinges heavily on the talent of its director, Lokesh Kanagaraj. Produced originally by Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Its running time is a good 164 minutes.

'Leo' is destined to be the second major hit for Sithara Entertainments in a span of just two weeks. Their movie, 'MAD', has run successfully.
