'Oke Oka Jeevitham' is heading to theatres on September 9 in Telugu and Tamil. On Saturday, the core team of the sci-fi entertainer met the press in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, producer SR Prabhu said that 'OOJ' is the first sci-fi coming out in a long time. "As a producer, I am very happy with the output. I thank Sharwanand and Ritu Varma for accepting the movie and giving their best," he added.

Director Shree Karthick said, "This is my first movie. My original idea was to do the movie only in Tamil. But the producer felt that this story needs to be told on a large canvas and decided to make it in both languages. I am a Telugu who grew up in Chennai. 'OOJ' is personal because of the mother sentiment angle. It deals with Time, and its concept is universal. After I was done narrating the story, Sharwanand asked me what inspired me to write it. When I said that it's my love for my mother, he was convinced that the script was borne of pure emotion. The actor is going to make you cry, laugh and cherish life. I am glad that Amala Akkineni ma'am has played the mother's role. Ritu Varma is a very natural actress."

Amala Akkineni said that 'OOJ' is her first Telugu film in 10 years. "I thank the director on this occasion for offering me such a lovely story. I also thank producer Prabhu for his conviction. 'OOJ' is not only about motherly love. Don't fear (laughs). Mother has a special place in everyone's life," Amala added.

Sharwanand urged the media to support the movie through reviews. "I am speaking straight out of my heart. I wish the media finds 'OOJ' heart-touching. The characters played by me, Priyadarshi and Vennela Kishore are so relatable. Director Shree Karthick has also conveyed something so profound in the movie. What makes life beautiful is the ability to live in the moment. This is not just about a mother and son. There is a lot more to the story," the 'Maha Samudram' actor said, thanking Prabhas for endorsing the film's trailer and actor Karthi for singing a song in the movie.

Sharwa added, "I am very proud of this film. I am confident that it is going to be a special outing. It gives me immense satisfaction that I have done this movie. With a subject like 'OOJ', you have to be careful with the treatment and writing. If something goes wrong, the audience will easily pin-point the flaw."

The actor said that early shows are being planned for celebs and media ahead of the theatrical release. "The film was shot simultaneously in both Telugu and Tamil. It's a proper bilingual," he added.

The film has music by Jakes Bejoy. Sujith Sarang's visuals and N Satheesh Kumar's art direction are promising.
