Netizens criticize CM for visiting Salman Khan's residence

It is known that, last week, a firing took place outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai. Two accused persons have been arrested so far. Vicky Gupta (24) and Sagar Pal (21) are the ones. Anmol Bishnoi has since claimed responsibility for the attack.

On Tuesday night, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde arrived at the residence of the actor to assure him the government was with him. "I have directed the police to take immediate action on this. This is Maharashtra and no gang will be spared," the CM has been quoted as saying.

Some Netizens are finding fault with a CM visiting an actor's house. "Oh, how sweet of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde to visit poor, helpless Salman Khan after the firing incident outside his house! I mean, it's not like there are more pressing issues in Maharashtra that the Chief Minister should be focusing on, like poverty, inequality, or corruption," a Netizen wrote sarcastically.
