The pre-release event of 'Custody' was held on Sunday in Hyderabad. Ahead of the film's theatrical release on May 12, the makers said that the film will start exploding in terms of content right at the 40th minute.

Speaking on the occasion, Krithi Shetty said that she got to learn so much working with Arvind Swami. "The role looks like it was tailor-made for him. I didn't get to share screen space with Priyamani. Sarathkumar sir, and Sampath Raj sir supported me on set. Chay garu is my favourite. I got to work with him in 'Bangarraju' and now 'Custody'. You are going to fall in love with Shiva, his character in 'Custody'," Krithi said.

Director Venkat Prabhu imitated Dil Raju's 'Varisu' speech. "Chay's character has style, the film has sentiment, action, mass elements and drama," the director, who is debuting in Telugu with 'Custody', said. "I am happy to be getting launched by this film. This is the most expensive film of my career," the Kollywood filmmaker said. He also hinted that there will be a 'Custody 2'.

Naga Chaitanya greeted the Akkineni fans who had gathered there. Earlier in the day, the 'Thank You' actor had a photo-op with hundreds of his fans. "When Venkat Prabhu narrated the story of 'Custody', I was so excited that I stood up and hugged him. The director has delivered hits with a lot of Tamil actors. I welcome him to the Telugu cinema. Producers Srinivas Chitturi and Pavan deserve my thanks. This is the most expensive film of my career. When Arvind Swami garu came on board, we became more confident in the script. Sarathkumar garu supported me with action scenes. Priyamani has taken the character to the next level. Krithi Shetty is just 3 years old in the industry and she is going great guns already. She can speak Telugu and Tamil well. Abburi Ravi garu gave inputs that enhanced the script. His dialogues are power-packed. I also thank all major technicians, dance choreographers, and others," Chay further said.
