Devdatta Nage is playing Lord Hanuman in the Prabhas-starrer 'Adipurush'. The first look poster of Shri Bajrang Bali, the revered character from the Ramayana, was released on Thursday marking Hanuman Jayanti.
The character of Anjaneya Swamy embodies "strength, perseverance and loyalty". Om Raut has designed the character as a "tribute to a companion, guardian and devotee" of Lord Ram in tune with the epic Ramayana. A verse from Tulsidas' Hanuman Chalisa was mentioned on the poster.
Starring Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Lankesh and Kriti Sanon as Janaki, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, in association with Vamsi and Pramod of UV Creations.
The film will be released in theatres on June 16.
