Shahid Kapoor announced his new project on Wednesday night and it features the actor in an intense look. The actor is dressed in a suit that is smeared with blood. His nose is bruised and his stare is intense. Shahid Kapoor captioned the post: "Teaser dropping BLOODY soon." The film has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and it has been produced by Jyoti Deshpande. The Internet thought that poster is giving desi John Wick vibes what with the suit, the bruises and an intense stare into the camera by the protagonist. The John Wick series of films, starring Keanu Reeves, is a tale of revenge drama, of love, loss and some very high-octane stunts.
About the comments on Shahid Kapoor's post. An Instagram user wrote: "Looks like a spinoff of John Wick... Let's hope this ain't one." Another one added, "John Wick from Ohio." Shahid Kapoor posted a set of new pictures from a photoshoot that he did, in which he can be seen sporting a similar look as the poster and he wrote: "Bloody Daddy."
The actor will also be seen in an untitled film with Kriti Sanon. Shahid announced the project by sharing a poster featuring him and Kriti seated in a bike and the text on poster read: "An impossible love story." He captioned the post: "It's a film wrap."
On the work front, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in Raj and DK's crime thriller series Farzi. Before that, he featured in the sports drama Jersey, in which he played the role of a cricketer. The original film was made in Telugu and it stars Nani in the lead role. Shahid Kapoor is best-known for his performances in films such as Udta Punjab, Haider, Jab We Met, "Padmaavat" and Ishq Vishk and the 2019 hit Kabir Singh, co-starring Kiara Advani, to name a few.
