'Happy Days', a musical college campus drama, was directed by Sekhar Kammula. This movie is an accomplishment with Varun Sandesh, Tamannaah Bhatia, Nikhil Siddharth, Vamsee Krishna, and a few others.
The good news is that this film will be shown in theaters again from April 12.
This one became the Second Best Feature Film Nandi Award back in 2008. Mickey J Meyer received accolades for the Best Music Director, and singer Karthik won the Best Male Playback Singer award for his performance of 'Oh My Friend'. Over and above that, 'Happy Days' received numerous Filmfare Awards South, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Music Director, and Best Supporting Actress.
The April 12th release might put a few fresh releases in jeopardy. It is learned that some small filmmakers have been advised to postpone their fresh releases in view of 'Happy Days' standing the chance of a big-scale re-release. Global Cinemas wants to make it a high-stakes re-release even though nothing is assured as to how many crores the film might collect. If this film works, it will be because of Kammula's fan base and Mickey J Meyer's songs.
